About Martin Funeral Home

Welcome to Martin Funeral Home, a place where care, dignity, and respect are at the heart of what we do. For years, we have been a pillar in the community, offering a serene and compassionate environment for families to commemorate their loved ones.

Our History

Martin Funeral Home was established in October 1982, when longtime Butler Funeral Director A. Ross Martin and his wife, Eileen, purchased Foschi Funeral Home at 429 Center Avenue on

Butler’s South Side, from S. Albert Foschi and his wife, Pearl.

Ross and Eileen, with their six children, worked tirelessly to operate the business and drive its success. As time went on, the Martins’ son, Tom, obtained his Funeral Director license and assumed more and more responsibilities at the funeral home. Tom, with the ongoing support of his siblings, took over the operation of the business following the deaths of his parents.

The family-owned and operated Martin Funeral Home continued to grow and thrive, and, in April, 2025, Tom purchased a second location, the former Geibel Funeral Home, at 201 East

Cumingham Street in downtown Butler.

Geibel Funeral Home, which faithfully served the Butler community for more than one hundred years, was another proud Butler family business. Four generations of the Geibel family provided

professional, compassionate funeral services to generations of families.

Tom Martin, the Martin family, and Martin Funeral Home, Inc. are honored to continue the legacy of the Geibel family and the Foschi family and their deep roots in our community.

Tribute Video

We can produce a personal tribute video that can be played at the service and online. Simply provide us with the photographs you want to include and we will transform them into a video celebration of your treasured memories. DVDs or USB thumb drives of the video are also available.

Sharing Service Details

We reduce the stress of contacting those who need the details of the service for your loved one. We post the dates and times of the service as part of the online memorial on our website. You can then either share the memorial on your Facebook or X page or copy the details from the site into an email or text. Both options give you the peace of mind that you have provided the necessary information to those who need it.
