Paul John Rock, Sr., age 79, of Butler, passed away at his residence on Tues., Dec. 6, 2022.

Born in Butler on Aug. 12, 1943, he was a son of the late Andrew and Catherine Dupe Rock.

Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He was employed for 47 years as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.

He was a member of All Saints Parish, Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, where he served as an usher for many years.

He belonged to American Legion Post 117 of Butler, and VFW Post 4843 of Ford City.

Paul is survived by his wife, Paulette M. Comeau Rock, whom he married Nov. 7, 1964; one son, Paul J. Rock, Jr., of Rome, Italy; and one brother, Eugene Rock and his wife, Pat, of Butler.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Rock and Charles Rock.

He will be greatly missed by his wife and son.

There will be no visitation, and services and burial will be private.
