Michael Cirillo's Obituary
Michael Cirillo, age 86, of Butler, passed away Thursday at his residence.
Born in Butler on June 6, 1929, he was a son of the late Paul and Michelena Lapomardo Cirillo.
He was retired from Pullman Standard, where he worked in the Paint Shop.
A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he served in the U.S. Army.
He was an avid sports fan, especially of high school sports.
He was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church and the Sons of Italy.
He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by six brothers, Peter Cirillo, Dominick Cirillo, Steve Cirillo, Anthony Cirillo, John "Jinks" Cirillo, and William Cirillo; and six sisters, Helen Hartwell, Mary Cirillo, Emma Barkley, Josephine "Jodie" Cirillo, Theresa Rogers Beck, and Angelina Schaffner.
Friends will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 429 Center Avenue, Butler, on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
Burial will take place in Saint Michael's Cemetery.
The Bereavement Group of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish will meet at the funeral home on Sunday at 3 p.m. to conduct a Scriptural Wake Service.
