Janet M. Codispot, age 78, of Lyndora, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Born March 30, 1939 in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Fedinski Straynick.

She was employed for 18 years as a teachers' aide with Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV.

Janet was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. She also belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 778 of Lyndora.

She is survived by three sons, Gary J. Codispot and his wife, Debbie, of Saxonburg, Brian T. Codispot, of Saxonburg, and Randall L. Codispot, of Lyndora; one daughter, Diana McCandless, of Prospect; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one niece; and several nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph T Codispot; two brothers; and one sister.

There will be no visitation. Funeral services and burial will be private.
