Genevieve A. Rachwal, age 88, of Lyndora, passed away Monday, March 20, 2017, at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Clifton, New Jersey on March 16, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Steve and Marie Grandziel Jeske.

She was formerly employed as a meat cutter at Acme Supermarket.

She is survived by one son, Joe Rachwal, Sr. of Lyndora; two grandchildren,  Frank Rachwal and his wife, Tammi, of Cabot and Joe Rachwal, Jr. and his wife, Michelle, of Pittsburgh; and three great-grandchildren, Vinnie, Victoria and Vanessa Rachwal.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Rachwal, who passed away March 2, 1996; one son, Shawn Rachwal, who passed away July 17, 2005; and one sister.

Friends will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 429 Center Avenue, Butler, on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Reverend Robert Linhart officiating.

Burial will take place in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
