Gary Michael Schultz, age 74, of Miamisburg, Ohio, formerly of Butler, passed away Thurs., Dec. 9, 2021, at Stoney Ridge Senior Living in Miamisburg, surrounded by family.

Born April 26, 1947 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Florian R. "F.R." and Helen Doerr Schultz.

Gary was a beloved husband, dad, and PopPop. He is survived by three daughters, Connie Schultz, Lori Schultz, and Deanna (Jim) Black, all of Dayton, Ohio; two granddaughters, Gaby Black and Vivi Black, of Dayton; two brothers, Wayne (Alex) Schultz and Art (Cherie) Schultz, both of Butler; one sister, Barbara (Ron) Cain, of Warren, Ohio; and several nephews, nieces, and great-nephews and great-nieces.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Craig Schultz, who passed away Sept. 28, 2015.

Gary was a member of McKee Chapel United Methodist Church in Fenelton.

Gary retired in June, 2014 from the position of Parts Manager at Mikan Motors and mechanic for all vehicles at Community Care Connections, where he had worked for 32 years.

Throughout the years Gary was an active volunteer with Butler County Special Olympics programs.

Friends will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 429 Center Ave., Butler, on Thurs. from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. and on Fri. from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m., followed by services at 4 p.m., with Rev. Michael B. Coats officiating.

The family requests that masks be worn at visitation and the funeral service.
