Edward Alan Bopp, age 58, of Butler, passed away Wednesday.

Born in Butler on November 29, 1958, he was the son of the late George H. Bopp, Sr., and Phyllis A. Perry Bopp.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Ed was formerly employed as a laborer at Bear Metallurgical Company.

He was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

He is survived by two sisters, Dreatha Stabley, of Butler, and Claudene Bopp and her longtime companion, Dave Karenbauer, of Herman; two brothers, George Bopp, Jr., of New Jersey, and David E. Bopp and his wife, Linda, of Butler; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Eric Bopp.

There will be no visitation.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
