Edith N. Monday, age 95, of Butler, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Concordia Lutheran Ministries at Cabot.

Born in Butler on August 22, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Irene Boschetti Grossi.

She was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.  She was also a member of the Ladies Guild of Saint Michael Church.

She was a former secretary at Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church and she was also formerly employed at J.C. Penney.

Edith is survived by one daughter, Jude Meyers and her husband, Bob, of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony J. Monday, Jr., who passed away December 31, 2015; one brother; and four sisters.

Friends of Edith N. Monday will be received on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Avenue, Butler, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. with Rev. Anthony Grossi, O.S.B., officiating.

Burial will take place in Saint Michael's Cemetery.

The family requests memorial donations to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA  16053, or to Good Samaritan Hospice Lund Care Center Inpatient Unit, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA  16023.
