Catherine Mary Stegner, age 94, of Lyndora, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017, at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Wilson, PA on February 24, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Carlo and Angela Cervi.

She was a homemaker, and she retired from Mine Safety Appliances.

She enjoyed praying the rosary with Mother Angelica and cheering on the Pittsburgh Penguins.

She graduated from Holy Rosary High School in 1942.

She was a member of Saint Peter Roman Catholic Church, Butler.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Bill Stegner and his wife, Liz, of Butler, and Kurt Stegner and his wife, Candice, of Harwick, PA; and four great-grandchildren, Sophia, Samantha, Allie and Avery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Stegner, who passed away February 5, 2001; one son, William F. Stegner, who passed away June 2, 1994; and one daughter, who passed away at birth.

Friends will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 429 Center Avenue, Butler, on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Avenue, Butler.

Burial will take place in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Verona, PA.

The Bereavement Group of Saint Michael the Archangel R.C. Church will meet at the funeral home on Tuesday at 3 p.m. to conduct a Scriptural Wake Service.
