Carolyn Marie Malinak, age 78, of Butler, passed away Fri., Aug. 5, 2022, in Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Oct. 1, 1943 in Butler, she was a daughter of the late John A. and Emily Pauline Valentine Bopp.

A 1961 graduate of Butler High School, Carolyn was employed as a clerk at the former Woolworth store and, later, at the former Stop'n Go store, both on Main Street in Butler.

She was a member of All Saints Parish, Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

Carolyn is survived by one son, Christopher R. Malinak, of Butler; one sister, Patricia Burns and her husband, William, of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dean Malinak, who passed away April 7, 2011; five brothers; and two sisters.

Friends will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 429 Center Ave., Butler, on Thursday from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Funeral services and burial will be private.
