Barbara was born March 13, 1947 to the late Edward H. Walker, Sr. and Grace Walker Riddle.
She was a graduate of Butler High School Class of 1965. Following high school, she worked at American Hardware. She was also employed at the Butler Area School District, the Butler Florist, and she had a daycare in her home.
On November 18, 1967, Barbara married her sweetheart, Steve J. Vargo, Jr. They had three daughters, Julee (Chas) Diehl, Amy (Scott) Reynolds, and Lisa (Frank) Bogacz.
Barbara was a loving wife, mother and grammy who loved to spend time with her eight grandchildren, Samuel, Simon, and Stephen Diehl; Lydia, Emma, and Isaac Anthony; and Grace and Daniel Bogacz.
Also surviving are two sisters, Geraldine ("Gerry") Osche, of Butler, and Genevieve (Richard) Krebs, of Zanesville, OH; and one brother, Chester (Helen "Billie") Walker, of Colorado.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Norma Pullano, and one brother, Edward Walker.
From the time she was diagnosed with cancer, Barbara believed that no matter the outcome, she would ultimately be victorious with her battle here on earth. She knew she would spend eternity with Jesus, her Savior.
Barbara wanted to extend special thanks to her Allegheny Health System Hospice Team; her oncologist, Dr. Raymond, and staff; and Dr. Lorri, Dr. Melissa and staff, of Fyzical Therapy and Balance Centers.
