Obituary

Albert Emile Gall passed away peacefully Monday, May 15, 2017 at 94 years of age at the VA Butler Healthcare Community Living Center.  He was born January 24, 1923 in Butler, the second-born child of Charlotte and Henry Gall.

He proudly served his country during WWII with the U.S. Army in the European Theatre. He met the love of his life, Jacqueline "Jackie" Sachmann, in 1945 in Paris, France.  Jackie eventually came to the United States, and they married on January 25, 1947 at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church where they remained lifelong members.    Albert worked as a journeyman electrician for over forty years, the last thirty years employed at Fuellgraf Electric Co. in Butler County.

Albert epitomized the values of the "Greatest Generation".  His humble nature, strong work ethic, faithful commitment to family, and patriotism for his country characterized his life.  He loved his wife of seventy years with such devotion that, even though she preceded him in death, he asked about her until the day he died four months later.   He will be greatly missed by his family.  His daughter Michele and son Dan were both devoted to their father and mother and loved them with a great love.

Albert is survived by his son Daniel and his wife, Stefanie, of Panama City, FL; his daughter Michele Erdos and her husband, Darrell, of Butler; his grandchildren, Susan Harrison and her husband, Shawn, of Tampa, FL,  Chad Gall and his wife, Margot, and Lauren Posey Gall and her husband, Ryan, of Panama City, FL, Brian Erdos and his wife, Kelly, of Butler, Matthew Erdos and his wife, Crystal,  of St. Petersburg, FL, and Chris Erdos, of Boynton Beach, FL; and his great-grandchildren:  SarahCate, Ethan, Crayton, Logan, Dawson, Chase, Layne, Francesca, Bryce, McKenzie, Avaleigh, Preston and Ayla.   He is also survived by his brother Mickey Gall and his wife, Jenny, of Butler; his sister-in-law Judy Gall, of Butler; and his brother-in-law Andre Aeberhard, of Winterthur, Switzerland.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Jackie, who passed away January 27, 2017; his brother Donald Gall; and his sister and brother-in-law, Henrietta and Paul Herritt.
